These photos are more than a record of your little one joining us in the world but it's full of emotion and connection that many struggle to put into words. It's the emotional journey of meeting this tiny baby who already holds so much of your heart.

Why hire a birth photographer?

I honestly say that booking my birth photographer was the best decision I made when it came to the birth of my son in 2023. Not only to relive those moments and see the look on our faces when we met our son. But also to piece together parts of my birth I could hardly remember. The fierce roars, laughing at the sound of my voice on gas and air and the softs moments where I was held and felt safe.

How does hiring a birth photographer work?

As a birth photographer I will be on call 24 hours a day from your 38 week date with my shoes and camera ready at the front door, ready for your call. I will be with you from established a labour and up to 2 hours after baby arrives. But before any of this happens we will meet and form a relationship of our own making sure I am the right person to tell your story. Learning your boundaries and preferences so you can feel safe, empowered & respected during your birth. We will get stunning photos full on connection & emotion but my priority will always be protecting your birth space.

If you choose me as your birth photographer I will ensure I have all the important information I need, so when the time comes I won't need to ask you any questions and you can stay in your beautiful oxytocin birth bubble.

When should I get in contact?

I take on a limited number of births a year so my on call time doesn't overlap with other clients. If birth photography is something you're considering it's worth reaching out sooner rather than later to your favourite photographers as dates fill up fast. Even if you're not ready to book I'm always happy to have a chat to help you find out what might be best for you and your wonderful birth team.

So who am I and why am I passionate about documenting birth?

Hi, I'm Bri! I'm a 27 year old toddler Mama who fell in love with birth photography in 2020 when I first discovered that it existed. I have always been in awe by our incredible human bodies and the way they work. I started my training in Birth Photography in 2022 and knew instantly this is where I was meant to be. I continued my training and certification in 2025 and will continue to educate myself to be the best birth photographer I can for all my wonderful clients.

After capturing my first birth at my clients home I knew this was more than just a passion. I feel genuinely called to capture these incredible birth stories and to journey together. My desire is for every mother to see the raw strength within them and for them to feel supported and heard through every step of their pregnancy and birth.

FAQ

There are things I don't want photographed. Is that okay?

100% - Consent is everything in birth and my main priority is you feeling safe, empowered & respected. When we meet in preparation before the birth we will spend time talking about your boundaries and preferences. And this can change anytime. Just because you said yes to something in a consultation you can change your mind anytime. Same goes with your images, if you want your gallery to stay completely private and no images to be shared by myself that is 110% not a problem.

Why does birth photography cost so much?

To prioritise you and your birth I will be on call for around 4 weeks. During that time I will make sure I am available anytime you call meaning I am limited to what work I can take on during this period. The Birth Story fee allows me ensure being at your birth is my first priority during that time.

When should I book?

What happens if you're sick and can't make it?

I have an incredible associate based local to me with years of experience with birth and incredible sensitivity. With your permission, if for any reason I am unable to attend your birth my associate will be available. She will have access to all of your birth preferences and boundaries ahead of time. I trust her fully (so much so that she was at my birth)!

How long will you be at the birth?

My package includes coverage from active labour until 2 hours after your little one arrives. I can leave earlier if you prefer. But I like to allow 2 hours to get those wonderful post birth moments.

Won't having a birth photographer be distracting?

With the right person in the room, having a birth photographer won't be distracting at all. Sensitivity is of the utmost importance in your birth space. I can testify to this after having a photographer at my own birth. I don't remember hearing the shutter or seeing a flash once.
If you are really nervous about the distraction I do have the option for a completely silent shutter on my camera.

Do you offer video too?

I do! Video can be added on to any of my birth packages. You can choose between a highlight film style video with music, a long format video with real audio from the room or both. Videography add on from £300

Can we meet you before the birth?

Absolutely! In fact I prefer to meet my clients at least twice before I go on call at 38 weeks (and birth partners too if possible). My desire is for your birth space to be a place where you feel safe and free. And getting to know eachother before hand plays such a roll in this! And each time we meet I learn more about your hopes for your birth and how I can best serve you and your birth partner while also getting those photos you've been dreaming of.

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes I do. If price is the main struggle holding you back, please make me aware of this as I want birth photography to be as accessible as possible to those who really want it. We may be able to plan a payment plan between us that can support you getting the right package for you.
